29 August 1976 to be precise!
(Stanley Sheldon reflects...) You know, I remember Tommy was very emotional the day of the gig, lots of coke probably magnified feelings. We (Peter) were the headliner, Tommy was ambivalent! Very happy for me, sad that he was not the main attraction and relegated to be merely an opening act. There were some tears shed by Tommy while we talked and got high while we were alone in the dressing room, a hard day for him...and I think his performance was distracted and diminished. But still, after all, a great gig for everyone.

This is rare footage of The Tommy Bolin Band at Mile High Stadium in Denver Colorado. It's the first gig with the line-up featuring Johnnie Bolin on drums and Jimmy Haslip on bass. Also in the band were original members Norma Jean Bell on sax and Mark Stein on keyboards. At the same concert bassist Stanley Sheldon performed with Peter Frampton and keyboard player Tom Stephenson performed with Gary Wright, both were in the band Energy with Tommy Bolin. Although the quality of the footage is not great, it is a rare example of a complete song performance by The Tommy Bolin Band. The audio gets better about halfway through the song. The music seems synchronized most of the time but it is not original audio. If anyone has an audience recording from this show, please contact me, I have the whole set on video but it's missing audio except for this song.
